Now that we have decided upon our genre, my teams and I have brainstorm several film ideas we could do; all revolving around the idea of suspense. As a group, we spend today's whole afternoon coming out with potential ideas, that we wrote down on a shared google doc. Here are the ones that interested us the most:
As we were brainstorming, one of the ideas stood out the most to us, making an opening to a film about how someone witnesses a murder, except that there's no evidence that a murder took place. As soon as we came out with the idea, we were all certain that was the one. It was different and something that required our full attention. While discussing, one of the main topics was the series we all enjoy watching; most of them had in-depth character development. With this prompt, we want to develop our characters in-depth, sharing their hobbies, phobias, and daily activities. Doing this, it will allow us to create a perfectly executed opening, showing the location, conflict, and main characters.
We are more than excited to begin filming. Even though our exhilaration exceeds, we are furthermore planning the character's background and evolving a storyline to correlate with the conflict the main character will go through. We will be doing this by completing a storyboard, to be more organized in terms of filming, a script for our character to follow, and a file that will include the background information of every character in order to develop the ideal opening we are hoping for.
